Equine Industry Disputes and Transactions Amy Ganci is a nationally recognized equine law attorney, who has been involved in resolving disputes in a variety of contexts and disciplines. Amy’s expertise extends beyond the confines of the court room and she frequently counsels clients in planning the breeding future of their equine superstars, drafts complex sale and breeding agreements, as well as handles legal disputes in active litigation, as well as before breed and sport horse associations. Kevin Ganci’s experience in real estate has enabled him assist clients in establishing training and breeding facilities across North Texas. Real Estate Litigation Kevin Ganci has a deep well of knowledge of commercial and residential real estate law. Kevin frequently litigates complex commercial lease and other real estate disputes, and regularly consults on and papers real property transactions. Amy Ganci is a Texas certified mediator in general and family law matters. Amy’s expertise in equine law issues has made her a “go to” mediator for resolution of disputes involving horses, horse partnerships and sale transactions. Equine Law and Equestrian Activities Amy Ganci’s unique professional background and personal equestrian experience place her among the few attorneys who regularly practice in the area of equine law. Since the mid-1990s, she has developed an active equine consulting, litigation, and transaction practice, representing breeders, owners, and trainers of performance and sport horses. Equine Litigation Practice Ms. Ganci litigates ownership and sales disputes involving sport horse and Quarter Horse transactions. Her litigation matters regularly involve fiduciary duties, contracts, and complex partnership and family law issues. She also frequently consults about equine issues that arise in family law matters. Some of her other equine engagements are negotiating and drafting breeding contracts, stallion syndication, joint venture, and other co-ownership agreements. She has also handled rules and other disputes with governing breed and sports associations, such as the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), and Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). Equestrian Interests In addition to handling equine legal matters, Ms. Ganci is an avid horsewoman who currently competes at the FEI level in dressage. She has received bronze and silver medals from the United States Dressage Federation and is currently pursuing her “r” judge’s credentials for dressage. Ms. Ganci has competed in two international competitions, winning the prestigious Concours de Dressage International-Amateur (CDI-Am) Prix St. Georges with her horse, Bon Wilbo.
